So whenever we have any written information we have 4 possible domains they can be related to:
- Projects
- Areas
- Resources
- Archive
Projects are defined as anything that has a concrete goal and a deadline or timeframe and that you are in someway responsible for. For example: Implement mini-RISK in all schools in Kristiansand.
Areas, or Areas of Responsibilities are related to stuff where we have a standard to be maintained or an indefinite end date. These things are also something we are responsible for. For example for my own part i have an area called Be a good statistician and be good at writing academic articles. This is not neccessarily something i can complete and be one-and-done, but rather an ongoing effort that is important to me to complete my work. Within this folder you will also find The zettelkasten system and guides that are currently available to bring you up to speed on fx. being a good statistician.
Resources are things which dont have a specific goal, dont have a time line, and that we are not responsible for - but still may be of interest for us. For me this is where i can place “sleeper” notes which are things that are not of interest for me right now, but may be in the future.
Archive is where we place things that are no longer relevant to what we are working on. The importance of having an archive is that it allows us to store information for future work.
